As CTO and later Head of Research and Development I helped building the tech side of GoEuro. GoEuro is a travel search website for Europe that compares and combines air, rail, bus and car rental options. We started out as a 2 man show in 2012 and brought the prototype to production in Mai 2013. Along the way I learned a lot about scaling technology but, as important, about startup culture and team building.
Today GoEuro has around 200 Employees and became one of the leading travel platforms in Europe. As Tech Lead I focus now on provider integration in the coverage pod. My team is responsible for the integration of over 200 transport providers such as Deutsche Bahn, Renfe, Trenitalia, UK Rail, Movelia, National Express etc.
Before GoEuro I worked for Keybird IT, a small software company based in the outskirts of Stuttgart, Germany. Keybird IT focuses on web based applications for big companies such as Daimler, Porsche, Allianz, Bosch etc. I work there as a Java Developer and Software Architect.

I live and work in Berlin with my partner Sherrie McCarthy and our 2 kids and enjoy it’s exiting startup scene and international flair.
I grew up in the Stuttgart area, Germany, which not only offers a beautiful landscape with lakes, mountains, wine yards and woods (of which the black forest is the most famous of them I guess) but also bustling industry and the homeland of many thinkers and entrepreneurs.
